We collect only what we need to run OpenReels for you. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers. Your content belongs to you.
What We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider (Auth0). This is used to create and manage your account.
Payment information: Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We don’t store your credit card details — Paddle handles all payment processing securely.
TikTok account data: When you connect your TikTok account, we store your TikTok display name, username, and access tokens. We use these to publish content on your behalf.
Content you create: Videos, scripts, and scheduling data you create through OpenReels are stored to deliver the service.
Usage data: We collect basic usage information (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the OpenReels service
- To process your payments and manage your subscription
- To publish and schedule content to your TikTok accounts
- To send you important account-related emails
- To respond to your support requests
We will never sell your personal data or use it for advertising purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Auth0 — Authentication and account management
- Paddle — Payment processing (Merchant of Record)
- TikTok API — Content publishing and account connection
- MongoDB — Data storage
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. We don’t use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we’ll remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (like payment records).

- Export your data in a portable format
